ভূপ্রকৃতিগত কারনে বাংলাদেশ একটি প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগপূর্ণ দেশ। প্রায় প্রতিবছরই এদেশে খরা, বন্যা, ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের মত প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ আঘাত হানে।
কিন্ত এবারের বন্যাটা একেবারেই ব্যাতিক্রম। বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে ২০০ বছরের সবচেয়ে ভয়াবহ বন্যার কবলে পরতে যাচ্ছি আমরা। টেলিভিশনের কল্যানে ইতিমধ্যেই আমরা বন্যার ভয়াবহ অবস্থার কিছু অংশ প্রত্যক্ষ করেছি। দিনাজপুর, লালমনিরহাট, কুড়িগ্রাম ইত্যাদি যায়গায় ভয়াবহ মানবিক বিপর্যয় ঘটেছে।

আর সপ্তাখানেকের মধ্যে পরিস্থিতি যে কতটা ভয়াবহ আকার ধারন করবে সেটা কল্পনা করে শিউরে উঠতে হয়।
প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে এই ভয়াবহ দুর্যোগে কি আমরা হাত গুটিয়ে বসে থাকব???
আমরা দেখি যে এধরনের বন্যা পরিস্থিতিতে বিভিন্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি কিংবা সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে ত্রান কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা হয়ে থাকে।
তারা যদি পারে তবে আমরা মেরিনাররা কেন নয়???

আল্লাহর রহমতে আমাদের সিনিয়রদের অধিকাংশের আর্থিক অবস্থা ভাল। কাজেই আমাদের সবার একটা সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা আছে।
আমরা সবাই মিলে যদি এগিয়ে আসি তবে অন্তত কিছুটা হলেও তাদের দুঃখ লাঘব করা যাবে।
অনেক সিনিয়র স্যারই আছেন যারা বন্যা দুর্গতদের সাহায্য করতে চান। কিন্ত একটা উপযুক্ত প্ল্যাফরমের অভাবে এগিয়ে আসতে পারছেন না। অনেকে আছেন যারা মাঠ পর্যায়েও কাজ করতে আগ্রহী। এক্ষেত্রে আমরা নিজেরাই পারি এরকম একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম গড়ে তুলতে।
এই দায়বদ্ধতা থেকে গতকাল সবাই মিলে আমরা একটা মিটিং এ মিলিত হই এবং সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয় যে আমরা যে যার লেভেল থেকে চেষ্টা করবো ফান্ড কালেক্ট করার জন্য এবং সেটা যে কোন পরিমান হতে পারে।
কারো যদি এই ধরনের কাজের কোন পূর্ব অভিজ্ঞতা থাকে কিংবা কেউ যদি ইন্টারেস্টেড হয় তবে অবশ্যই তাকে এগিয়ে আসার অনুরোধ করব।
যেকোন সুচিন্তিত মতামত, ভাল পরামর্শকে স্বাগত জানানো হবে।

Ratul and his team went to various places in the norther part of Bangladesh including Rangpur & Kurigram to distribute the reliefs. The team worked overnight to purchase the items & pack the food and emergency needs. More than 900 packet reliefs were prepared. 

The team went to Gangachara, Rangpur on 23rd August 2017 to distribute  200 packets among the sufferer people. After that they visited Kurigram & distributed 320 packet reliefs to the flood affected families at Holokhana primary school, Kurigram.

On 25th August 2017 team went to Kamarjani, Gaibandgha. Thery distributed 408 packets of reliefs to the needy and affected families.

Last five days tem visited Gangacgara (Rangpur), Holokhana (Kurigram) & Kamarjani (Gaibandha) and team distributed total 928 packets of reliefs ( 200+320+408 = 928 respectively)  among the poor sufferer families of flood affected areas.

Team had tried their best to sure that each family not to get more than one packet of relief for the purpose evenly distribution and to ensure that maximum number of families are benefitted. To serve that purpose, they prepared coupon system and distributed accordingly with the help of local people. In every packet of relief sufficient foods & dispensary given for one week of every family. 

By the grace of Almighty, team have completed their mission successfully& safely returned home, thanks to the volunteers for their sincere effort and hard work.

At the end we are thankful to BD Mariners staying all over the world for your financial support & motivating our volunteers.

12. Molasses ( 250 gm)
13. Match Lighter ( 1 pc)

It’s another example of good team work.
