The Bangladeshi maritime community mourns the loss of MarEngr. Faiz Ahmed Biswas (2E), who passed away 19 August 2025.
Inna Lillahe Wa Ilaihe Rajiun. (Surely, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.)
His Namaz-e-Janaza took place in Uttara after Zuhr prayer.
Faiz Ahmed Biswas was among the early pioneers of the Bangladesh Marine Academy, joining as an Engineering Cadet in the 2nd Batch of 1963. He later rose to serve with distinction as a Marine Chief Engineer, widely admired for his integrity, humility, and gentlemanly character.
A graduate of Chattogram’s FCC (Faujdarhat Cadet College, 3rd Batch HSC), he also studied briefly at Dhaka University’s Chemistry Department before dedicating his career to the maritime profession.
In recent years, he had been battling Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Colleagues and batchmates remember him as a gentle soul and an exemplary professional.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him a place in Jannatul Ferdous. The community extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
