We are elated to inform our fellow Seafarers that an Australia wide Mariners Reunion has been organised. An entire resort has been booked in Merimbula (www.kianinny.com.au) to facilitate this large scale event.
The Bangladeshi-Australians Mariner community cordially invites you to attend this coveted event. Australia as a country is internationally renowned as a prime holiday destination. The secondary beneficial outcome of attending this reunion will allow you to experience this great land; with a rich history of colonialism, modern cosmopolitan hubs and the contrasting outback, rainforests and beaches. Literally, endless options will be presented when considering Australia as a holiday destination.
The south coast of New South Wales (NSW) is one of the most popular tourist regions in Australia. Centric to this, is the township of Merimbula – the cornerstone of the Sapphire coast (www.sapphirecoast.com.au). Merimbula is a 4 hour drive from Sydney, 2 hours from Canberra and 8 hours from Melbourne. Regional airlines flights from Sydney/Melbourne are scheduled on a daily basis. Also accommodation in Sydney/Melbourne and road transport to and from the venue can be arranged without cost if confirmed in advance.
Merimbula is centrally located amidst the ocean, mountains and a lake; where the Great Dividing Ranges reaches out to the sea. The Merimbula coast is interwoven with both the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The migratory route of the Blue Whales follows this coastline. Simply, an ideal retreat location – and nothing else comparable on earth – for Seafarers!
