Capt. Imam Anwar Hossain (6N) on his final voyage

With heavy heart , we are sorry to inform you that our beloved Capt. Imam Anwar (6/N) has passed away on 7th January at Singapore.

Innah Lillahe wa Innah illahe Rajeun!

He has breathed his last at 11 AM (BD time) in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital. May Allah bless the departed soul.

He was the ex-Chairman of Prime Bank and Chairman of Imam Group.
He was a great soul who is sponsor for:
(1) a boat to Academy from Prime Bank.
(2) a Golden Medal to a Cadet (Runners-up to the President’s Gold Medal winner) every year since 2011 from Prime Bank.

He was a shipowner and one of his ships was named as: MV Taramon Bibi (after the Heroic FF Taramon Bibi). He had a group of companies whose business ranged from tea garden, cement factory, banking, shipping and many more fields. He lived with a transplanted kidney for last 2 decades and with heart-issue for last few years.

However, he was always found to be smiling and being pious… may Allah bless our Imam Sir with Jannatul Ferdous.
