We deeply mourn the loss of Sourov Kumar Saha, Ex-Cadet from the 2nd Batch (Nautical) of Bangladesh Marine Academy, Barishal (BMAB).
On September 30th, 2024, around 10:55am, a tragic explosion occurred on the forward section of M.T. BANGLAR JYOTI, a crude oil tanker. In this unfortunate incident, Deck Cadet Sourov Saha and two workshop personnel lost their lives instantly.
Sourov was an exceptional cadet with commendable academic achievements. Through his dedication and professional excellence, he could join onboard BSC ship as a cadet. His passing is an immense loss not only to his family but to all of us.
We extend our heartfelt condolences for his untimely departure. The BMAB community prays for the peace of his soul. On 30 September, BMAB offered special prayer for the peace of the departed soul. You will be deeply missed! BMAB will remember you!
