With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Captain Farid Hossain (12N), who departed from us this morning on 4th November 2025 in Montreal after a prolonged illness.
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un”
(Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.)
May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Ferdous, and bless his family with strength and patience to endure this great loss.

Captain Farid Hossain will always be remembered for his warmth, dedication, and tireless contributions to the mariner community. He played a pivotal role in organizing the 5th Juldia Marine Academy Alumni Association (JMAAA) Reunion held in Montreal in 2020 — a truly memorable event that brought together alumni, mariners, and their families in a spirit of unity and joy.
Many of us will cherish the memories of that wonderful evening at Côte-des-Neiges Hall, filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt camaraderie.
The entire community of Bangladeshi mariners—both at home and abroad—express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
We pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul and extend our deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
