IMO has re-appointed Sajid Hussain as ‘IMO Maritime Ambassador’

Sajid Hussain CEng has been appointed as an IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, as nominated by the IMarEST. Sajid has been an IMO-GMA since 2016 and is enthusiastic to continue his promised role on behalf of the IMO to propagate the opportunities young people have both at sea and ashore and to collectively ensure quality resources enter into maritime professions.

Sajid Hussain CEng has been re-appointed as an IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, as nominated by the IMarEST. He has been nominated by IMarEST London and for “Jan 2024 to Dec 2025”.
(First person to be nominated by IMarEST to be an IMO-GMA.)
An IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador is a spokesperson or advocate for the maritime and seafaring professions in their region or nation – IMO (International Maritime Organization).

Sajid has been performing as an IMO-GMA since 2016 and is enthusiastic to keep his promised role on behalf of the IMO to propagate the opportunities at sea and ashore for young people in the vast oceanic world, and collectively ensure quality ones enter into these professions based at sea.

Out of 41 existing IMOGMAs (2022-2023), 20 have been re-appointed and 9 have been appointed (new).
