[নোঙর 2016] Talk Out : Pareeza Nawar

“NO! you don’t understand!”

Shirley was arguing   with her mother. She was having problems at her school and asked her mother for help, but she was not helping at all. Instead she just told her to ignore all the haters but only if she knew.

After arguing for half an hour, Shirley finally ran to her room crying.  She was too depressed to argue anymore. She didn’t understand why her mother didn’t understand her world.

The next day, she walked to school with her best friend. They had been friends since the first day of grade 1. Suddenly, Diana, one of the most popular girls came to them and started bragging about how big her house was, how rich her parents were and how big her bedroom and wardrobe was.

Shirley’s answer to her was, ”Cool. You don’t amaze me one bit. No wonder you’re always late for school. You probably get lost in your maze-like house and since you come to school in a Limousine, you probably have trouble finding a parking spot, which makes you wait even longer as you have to wait for your fancy vehicle finish parking.”.

After saying that, Diana was bewildered ‘cause she never knew that Shirley was brave enough to stand up against her. She just flipped her long, blonde hair and said, “Whatever! and always remember, I’m always watching your back Shirley Sanders!”

After that not so friendly conversation With Diana, Shirley felt quiet scared after Diana said the words, ”I’m always watching your back!”. She decided to be extra careful about everything she does and say. Lately Diana has been giving her an evil smirk since the last 3 (three) hours in school. Shirley knew that Diana was up to no good so she told all her friends to watch out.

( 3 days later….)

“ I’m very sorry to disturb you while you’re working, Principal Winston, but I really need to talk to you about Miss Diana Valentine’s behavior.” the Principal looked surprised and said,” What about her? She seems completely fine to me.” ,

Shirley then quickly answered “She keeps giving me the evil eye and an evil smirk for 3(three) hours and she keeps saying` Watch your back Shirley! I think she’s up to something and I don’t think it’s very nice. You should talk to her soon as possible before things get ugly. Thank you Principal Winston for letting me talk to you about this important matter. Have a nice day! Goodbye!”

As Shirley walked back to class, she heard through The class loudspeakers,” Miss Diana Valentine, please report to my office after class. Principle Winston.”

In a few minutes, ` RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG!` ( bell ringing) Diana ran out of class and made her way to the principal’s office. When she reached there, the student secretary, Jessica said ‘hi’ to her and told her to wait outside and went inside the office and informed the principle that Diana was outside waiting.
The Principal then told Jessica to tell Diana to come in. Diana slowly opened the door and went in greeting the Principal with a smile. The Principal then told her to sit down and talked to her about improving her behavior. After that talk with Principal Winston, Diana turned into a new leaf. She was all positive.

Now she’s nicer and kinder to everyone, including Shirley. Now, I bet you’ll be surprised to know that Shirley’s best friend is actually her mother. No matter how much they argue, they always love each other very dearly, they keep each other safe and happy.

~ The End~

The morals of this story is: Your mother is your best friend, soul mate and the love of your life. You’ll be nothing without her and always remember when something you don’t like is happening, talk to an adult or someone who will listen and help.  Never keep all your ill thoughts together as you WILL be VERY miserable. Always let your feelings out by expressing yourself by writing in a special diary or by talking to a responsible adult.
