Capt. Zahiruddin Mahmud (1N) Sir is on his final voyage

Following a long years’ ailments (weakness, memory-loss etc.), our respected Capt. Zahiruddin Mahmud (1N/11) – an ex-Cadet of our 1st Batch – has breathed his last in this afternoon on 05 OCT 2020 at his residence at Chittagong. He was approx. 77 years.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun. May his departed soul rests in peace by the grace of Allah.

He had played a very courageous role in starting of Port of Chalna after independence in 1972

He used to be a very simple, pious and jolly person.
He was Member (Operation) and Acting Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority. He retired from CPA in 2000 after 12 years service and also served MPA for about 10 years as the CHAIRMAN before CPA.
