With heavy heart informing that our respected Senior Captain Mahdiul Aziz Chisti Selim (3N) had breathed his last while on unconsciousness for about 10 years on 1st of January 2020 in London. May Almighty Allah swt grant him Jannatul Ferdous.
We are proud of our Liberation Hero Captain Chisti who left the Pakistani Ship where he was working in 1971, in support of our War of Liberation.

From Capt. Moin Ahmed:

On behalf of the BD Mariners, I took the privilege of expressing dua and consolation to Bhabi and other family members of his family for this huge loss. Bhabi and his family members has acknowledged this with thanks. As you may be aware Janab Chisti had been in oblivion for about a decade and hardly any one of us knew about his situation. I understand he was one of those Merchant Navy Officers, who left Pakistani ship in support of the war of liberation of Bangladesh. I certainly respect this heroic movement. Now that he has left us for ever, I trust, we, the Bangladeshi mariners should keep him including other deceased mariners and their loved ones in our prayers. Thank you once again for circulating this sad news and guiding me to reach the funeral event.
